Membership Terms & Conditions

Introduction
These Membership Terms & Conditions govern your use of Croydon Workspace. By purchasing or using a membership, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Croydon Workspace is operated by MY Backyard Limited, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14604760).
Nature of Agreement
Membership grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the workspace and its shared facilities.
This agreement does not create a lease, tenancy, or any right of exclusive possession. No landlord and tenant relationship is created.
Your right to access and use the space is conditional upon compliance with these Terms.
Membership Registration
Memberships are managed through Join It membership software. Payments are processed via Join It and Stripe.
By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and up to date. You are responsible for maintaining your account details.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel membership at our discretion.
Fees and Payment
Membership fees are payable in advance via the payment method registered through Join It.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store full card details.
Where memberships renew automatically, you authorise recurring payments. It is your responsibility to cancel before renewal if you do not wish to continue.
Failure to make payment may result in immediate suspension of access.
Access to the Workspace
Access is provided via the Bold Smart Lock system. A digital key will be issued following activation of membership.
Access credentials are personal and must not be shared. You are responsible for all activity linked to your access credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access where there is misuse, non-payment, or breach of these Terms.
The workspace operates on an unmanned, self-service basis. No on-site staff presence is guaranteed.
Use of the Space
Members must:
– Use the workspace in a respectful and professional manner
– Keep shared areas clean and tidy
– Comply with all health and safety guidance
– Follow fire safety procedures
– Use electrical equipment safely
– Not interfere with security systems, CCTV or alarms
Members must not:
– Use the space for unlawful purposes
– Create nuisance, excessive noise or disruption
– Sub-licence or allow unauthorised persons access
– Store hazardous materials
– Sleep overnight unless explicitly authorised
– Represent the workspace as a registered office without agreement
We reserve the right to terminate membership for behaviour that threatens the safety, security or reputation of the workspace.
CCTV and Security
CCTV operates within common areas for safety and security purposes. By using the workspace, you acknowledge and accept that CCTV monitoring is in operation.
Access activity is logged through the Bold system.

Health and Safety
Members are responsible for their own health and safety and for acting in a manner that does not endanger others.
In the event of fire or emergency, members must evacuate immediately and call emergency services where required.
The workspace is provided on a self-service basis and members must familiarise themselves with emergency procedures.
Property and Liability
Members are responsible for their own personal property and equipment.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Croydon Workspace shall not be liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence.
We do not accept responsibility for business interruption, loss of profits, or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
IT and Wi-Fi Use
Wi-Fi access is provided as a convenience. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Members must not use the network for unlawful activity, downloading illegal content, hacking, or any activity that could damage or impair the network.
We reserve the right to suspend access for misuse.
Termination
You may cancel your membership in accordance with the cancellation terms stated at sign-up.
We may terminate membership immediately for:
– Non-payment
– Breach of these Terms
– Illegal or unsafe conduct
– Behaviour causing serious disruption
Upon termination, your access credentials will be deactivated.
Changes to Membership or Terms
We reserve the right to update membership pricing, services, or these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms will be published on our website and continued use of the workspace constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Operational management may be carried out by MY Facilities Management acting on our behalf, including remote administration.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
